Robert A. Levin

New York Mercantile Exchange

Robert A. Levin is the Senior Vice President of Research, and has held this position since 1993. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Exchange's business planning. Mr. Levin has been active in the development, maintenance, and refurbishing of all of the Exchange's energy contracts.

Mr. Levin has been among the major participants in restructuring proceedings governing the electric utility industry both at the state and federal levels. He represents the Exchange on advisory panels for the National Petroleum Council that study key industry issues. Mr. Levin was the Exchange's Vice President of Product Development from 1991 until 1993, and has been with the Exchange since 1987. Mr. Levin has a doctorate in economics from the University of New Mexico.

Since 1995, Walter J. Zimmermann, Jr., has served as Vice President and Chief Technical Analyst for United-ICAP, formerly United Energy. He also served as the first Vice President and Chief Technical Analyst for petroleum with Lehman Brothers from 1988 to 1995. Prior to that, he worked as vice president at E.F. Hutton and Amerex Petroleum.

As the Chief Technical Analyst, Mr. Zimmermann is responsible for the technical analysis based price risk assessment, which is an on-going program designed to identify the likely direction, extent, and duration of the price risk in Crude Oil ( WTI and Brent ), Petroleum Products (Unleaded Gasoline, Heating Oil, and Gasoil), and Natural Gas on an intra-day, daily, weekly, monthly, and long term basis.

As Principal, Geary Sikich leads Logical Management Systems, Corp.'s enterprise assurance, strategic mapping, crisis management, continuity and disaster recovery consulting services. Mr. Sikich is an impact-based planning expert. His client list spans private sector industries and public sector entities at all levels. He has consulted with organizations in financial services, utilities, energy, and transportation.  Prior to his career in management consulting, Mr. Sikich developed a broad base of experience in business strategy and management with the U.S. Army as an intelligence officer.

 

Aimee Barnes

Aimee Barnes manages US Regulatory Affairs for EcoSecurities, where she focuses on strategic analysis of, and advocacy related to US state, regional and federal climate change policy initiatives. Ms. Barnes has experience with policy advocacy and payments for ecosystem services, primarily carbon, but also including water, and biodiversity. Other areas of expertise include environmental economics, environmental markets, project-based emission reductions (carbon offsets) for compliance and voluntary markets, knowledge of voluntary carbon market standards, and an interest in environmental justice issues.
